Open Claw as a personal assistant
Let’s multiply productivity by 500%.
The title is clickbait, I admit it. I didn’t multiply anything by 500%. But I did spend a month using an AI assistant for everything that isn’t designing or coding, and I learned a few things.
What worked
- Summarizing long Slack threads before a meeting.
- Turning messy notes into a clear to-do list.
- Drafting the emails I didn’t feel like writing.
What didn’t
Delegating decisions. Every time I asked it to choose for me, I ended up redoing the work. The assistant is fast, but it doesn’t know the context the way I do.
A good assistant doesn’t think for you; it clears the desk so you can.
The real result? About three free hours a week. Not 500%, but three more hours for what I actually enjoy: designing and building.
